Bhubaneswar: Vigilance on Monday raided the premises of Panchayat Executive Officer of Jhankarpali panchayat in Sambalpur district Achyutananda Khuntia following allegations of possession of disproportionate assets.
The Vigilance sleuths searched his house in Kuchinda, his native village Subarnapali, stalls at Subarnapali and office room at Jhankarpali.
The Vigilance found Khuntia is possession of two houses, two plots, three stalls, insurance deposits worth Rs 10.43 lakh, bank deposit of Rs 1.15 lakh and other immovable and movable property.
The PEO’s property has been estimated at Rs 1.12 crore after an initial estimate, a Vigilance release said.
