Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance has unearthed 20 more plots in West Bengal belonging to Chief Construction Engineer, Anandpur Barrage Project, Pravas Kumar Pradhan, who was arrested last week for allegedly amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
With this, 105 plots in possession of Pradhan have been unearthed so far. Pradhan was arrested by Vigilance on Saturday for possessing DA to the tune of 245%.
After his arrest, Vigilance sleuths unearthed 20 more plots in West Medinpur district in West Bengal belonging to Pradhan, who was earlier found to be in possession of 85 plots along with other disproportionate properties. He is now in judicial custody, vigilance informed.
Earlier, during the course of the investigation, Pradhan was found in possession of disproportionate assets including a five-storeyed building, a Market complex, 85 plots, gold approximately 335 grams, deposits of over Rs.78 lakhs, cash Rs.11.7 lakhs etc, which he could not accounted for satisfactorily.
