Bhubaneswar: The raids, conducted by Odisha Vigilance on Boudh RTO Basanta Kumar Mohapatra, have revealed his total properties amounting to a whopping Rs 19 crore.
In the ongoing search at 10 locations of the RTO, the movable and immovable assets worth crores in the name of Mohapatra and his family members have been unearthed so far.
The current market value of immovable property i.e. flats and shopping outlets is around Rs 14.5 crore and other assets including deposits, gold and silver ornaments and household articles is Rs 4.5 crore.
The Vigilance sleuths on Thursday detected 2 flats and 2 commercial shopping outlets in the name of Mohaptara in Bhubaneswar. He had also paid an advance Rs 2.23 crore for two more flats in Bhubaneswar and Bengaluru, a Vigilance release said.
This apart, bank and insurance deposits and investment in Capital Gain Bonds worth over Rs.3.75 crores in name of Mohapatra and his family members and gold weighing over 260 grams have been unearthed so far, it said.
Simultaneous house search were conducted at 10 places in Bhubaneswar (Khurdha), Boudh and Ganjam by a team led by 2 additional SPs, 6 DSPs, 6 inspectors and other staff on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.
1) Room No. 307 of 3rd floor at Utkal Signature, Pahala, Bhubaneswar.
2) Commercial shopping Complex no. 4 & 5 at Utkal Kanika Galleria, Gautam Nagar, Bhubaneswar.
3) Flat no. 2504, Block-4, Iconic tower, Z-1 estate, Kalarahanga, Bhubaneswar.
4) Three BHK flat No. B/83, 8th floor, Utkal Royal Residency, Kalpana Square, Bhubaneswar.
5) Flat no A-4/1, West end Apartment, Sailashree Vihar, Bhubaneswar.
6) Flat no. 206, 2nd floor, Block Saraswati, Haripriya Enclave, RangaMatia, Mancheswar, Bhubaneswar.
7) Office chamber at RTO office, Boudh.
8) Rented residential house at Jagannath Vihar, Rajanpalli, Boudh.
9) Paternal house at Bhanjanagar.
10) House of his relative at Kamapali, Berhampur.

1) Flat No.307 on 3rd floor at Utkal Signature, Pahala, Bhubaneswar, worth Rs 1 crore.
2) Commercial shopping outlets No.4 & 5 at Utkal Kanika Galleria Mall, Gautam Nagar, Bhubaneswar, worth about Rs 2 crore.
3) 3-BHK flat No.B/83, 8th floor, Utkal Royal Residency, Kalpana Square, Bhubaneswar worth Rs 1 crore.
4) Advance Rs.1.35 crore paid to a realtor to purchase of 5-BHK flat vide flat No.2504, Block-4, Iconic Tower, Z-1 Estate, Kalarahanga, Bhubaneswar with an area 1776 sqft.
5) Advance Rs 88 lakh to purchase a flat vide No.F-1002 at Ozone Elegant-WF-48 in Bengaluru.
6) Rs 1,16,700 in cash.
