Bhubaneswar: NDA Presidential candidate and former Jharkhand Governor Droupadi Murmu will be treated as a State Guest during her visit to Odisha on Friday, July 8.
According to a notification issued by the Deputy Secretary, Home (Protocol) Department, Odisha government, security as per scale and threat perception, including escort pilot and a PSO will be provided to Droupadi Murmu.
The State Guest House manager will be making arrangements of reception, accommodation and boarding, transport and also see off the State Guest during her visit to Bhubaneswar.
Droupadi will be coming to her home state after visiting Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar and Assam, to seek support from MPs and MLAs of all parties.
Opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha is also scheduled to visit Odisha this week.
Election for 16th President of India will be held on July 18. Counting of votes, if needed, will take place on July 21.
