A product of Odisha’s Weightlifting HPC, Jyoshna won silver in women’s 40 kg category snatch by lifting 53 kg and secured an overall bronze with a total lift of 115 kg.
Closer home, Tikimohini Mallik, another Odisha Weightlifting HPC trainee, struck gold in 64 kg category at the Khelo India Youth Women Ranking tournament in Bengaluru.
A day earlier, Sumitra Mallik of Bhubaneswar Sports Hostel claimed gold and Bidhusmita Bhoi — from Weightlifting HPC Dhenkanal sub-centre – earned bronze in 59 kg category at the Khelo India event.
