Bhubaneswar: The state government will pay a pension to women undergoing divorce proceedings.
The pension will be given to women with a gross annual income of less than Rs 40,000, Minister for Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ashok Chandra Panda, said on Saturday.
“To be eligible, a woman will have to deposit the papers relating to her divorce case as proof,” the minister added.
He informed that the pension will be provided under Madhu Babu Pension Yojana.
