Odisha Youth Ends Life After Losing Money In Online Game

Cuttack: In a tragic incident, a youth allegedly ended his life in Salepur area of Odisha’s Cuttack district after being unable to bear huge loss in online games.

As per information, the incident took place at Baniya Sahi in Salepur area of the district. The deceased has been identified as Manoj Karaj.

Sources said Manoj, who was reportedly addicted to online games, lost huge amount of money in the process. He had also taken loans from several people but lost that money too.

Unable to clear the loans, Manoj reportedly left home three days ago without informing family members. His family searched for him and lodged a complaint with the police.

Following the missing complaint lodged by the family, police launched a search operation. Manoj was finally found hanging from a tree in the area on Thursday morning.

While Fire Service personnel recovered the body, police have launched an investigation into the unnatural death. The body was sent for postmortem.
