Balasore/Jajpur: Three persons were killed and four injured in two separate mishaps in Odisha in the last 24 hours.
Two persons died and as many sustained grievous injuries after their motorcycle plunged into a culvert after hitting another vehicle while overtaking in Odisha’s Balasore district in the early hours of Wednesday. The accident took place near Guhuri Bazaar Chhak within Sadar police limits when the four were returning from a feast. While two died on the spot, the injured were rescued and shifted to the nearby hospital for treatment.
A 22-year-old youth died and two others were injured after a car in which they were travelling overturned near Gobardhanpur Fire Station in Odisha’s Jajpur district around midnight on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Abhinash Mohapatra of Cuttack’s Gopalpur area. The mishap took place when the three were returning home after attending a wedding party, sources said.
