Puri: On a mission to promote awareness on protection of environment, a youth arrived at Odisha’s Puri town on Tuesday after visiting three pilgrim centres in the country on a bicycle.
The youth, Satyabrat Das of Phulnakhara in Cuttack district started his campaign on bicycle on April 5. He first visited Rameswaram and from there, he cycled to Dwaraka and then Badrinath. Satyabrat covered around 13,500 km on cycle in 6 months on his mission.
During his journey with the slogan ‘Save the tree, Save the Earth’, he tried to motivate the people to plant trees to protect the planet and lead a healthy life.
On his arrival at Puri, ATA, a social service organisation felicitated Satyabrat for completing his mission by visiting the four scared ‘dhams’ (pilgrim centres) on the green mission.
