Bhubaneswar: The Nandankanan Zoological Park will be reopened for visitors on October 4, Deputy Director of the zoo, on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar, Jayant Das informed on Monday.
According to sources, an SOP will be released ahead of the opening of the zoo. It will be mandatory for visitors to wear masks. A fixed number of visitors will be allowed to maintain social distancing and avoid congregation inside the zoo.
Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) Hari Shankar Upadhyay said that people will be advised against touching the railings in the zoo.
The park has been closed since March 15 as a precautionary measure against COVID-19.
