Kolkata: Talented Odisha player Aahan Mishra enjoyed a good week at the South Club AITA Junior Ranking Championship Series meet at Kolkata.
The teenager finished runner-up in the boys’ U-16 and U-14 singles events, and emerged champion in the U-16 doubles competition.
Aahan won the first set against local boy Sankalp Sahani before falling short to go down 6-2, 4-6, 4-6 in the rain-interrupted U-16 final.
Later in the day, Aahan came up against the same opponent in the U-14 boys’ final. This time, Sankalp triumphed 6-4, 6-4.
Aahan teamed up with Sankalp to clinch the doubles crown.
