Bhubaneswar: Biju Patnaik State Police Academy, Bhubaneswar, has won Union Home Minister’s trophy for the best police training institution at national level for 2020-21 in the Gazetted Officers’ Category
The academy was established in 2005. Additional DG Arun Sarangi is currently the Director of the Police Academy.
The Academy will also get a reward of Rs. 20 lakh (in the form of grant-in-aid) for this recognition.
Notably, it had won the Best Police Training Institution at Eastern Zonal level for the years 2015-16, 2016-17, 2018-19 and 2019-20 in different categories.
