Cuttack: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) has decided to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to monitor the High School Certificate (HSC) examinations across Odisha in 2024.
Releasing the schedule of the annual Matriculation examinations at a press meet in Cuttack on Wednesday, BSE president Ramashis Hazra said the Board has decided to take the help of AI to ensure fair and transparent examinations.
As per the decision, the AI-powered cameras will be installed in strong rooms, DEO offices and examination halls. Seven to eight persons will be engaged at a command room. In case of any discrepancies at any of these places, the officials concerned will inform them.
As per the schedule, the HSC examinations will begin from February 20, 2024. The State Open School Certificate (SOSC) and Madhyama examinations will also be held simultaneously. The vocational practical examinations will be conducted in respective schools by OSEPA between January 15 and 31.
In a relief to the students, there will be no second sitting in the examinations due to the possible heat wave.
