Bhubaneswar: ‘Chhena Poda’, the cheese dessert from Odisha, has found a place of pride in ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ campaign, aimed at strengthening the unity and integrity of India.
The PIB India on Sunday tweeted, asking people to try the taste and aroma of this special sweet dish from the east part of India under the tagline, A city that eats well, hosts well, while detailing on its preparation.
Maharashtra’s ‘Bhelpuri’ has been featured alongside ‘Chhena Poda’.
It had earlier tweeted about ‘Appam’ of Kerala and ‘Siddu’ of Himchal Pradesh under this tagline.
The campaign was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 30, 2015, on the occasion of the 140th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. It is an innovative measure to spread knowledge about culture, traditions and practices of different states & UTs.
