Bhubaneswar: The Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) has won the Award of Excellence for Innovations in Urban Transport during COVID-19.
The award was conferred on CRUT on the occasion of the 13th Urban Mobility India Conference 2020 on Monday by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
“CRUT addressed their social responsibility during the pandemic by bringing facilities to the doorsteps by converting neighbourhood bus stops into vegetable vending zones and providing ‘Grocery on Wheels’,” the Ministry said.
CRUT’s initiative to shift to digital payment by using ‘Mo Card’ for cashless and contactless ticketing was also acknowledged.
