Bhubaneswar: Students of city-based CV Raman Engineering College performed very well in the national-level welding competition, organised by the Indian Institute of Welding (IIW) recently.
Subhendu Kumar Mallick, Udas Das, Titu Dalai, Abhisekh Khuntia, Jyoti Nayak, Bandana Singh and Taslima Mohanty secured the first position in the east zone and were selected to participate in the national level contest.
Subhendu Kumar Mallick, a seventh semester student of Mechanical Department in CV Raman secured the first position in the category of ‘Best Structural welder (SMAW Process)’ among engineers of recognised companies. He will represent India in the World Welding Championship very soon.
Chairman of the college, Sanjiv Kumar Rout, Master Trainer Apurba Sanyal, Assistant Professor Tusharkanti Bhatacharya, Trainer Debashish Mohapatra congratulated all the participants.
