New Delhi: Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has directed the officials in the Ministry to convene a meeting of airline heads in Bhubaneswar soon to explore the emerging possibility of the aviation sector in Odisha and introduction of more domestic and international flights.
The instruction followed a letter from Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday requesting him to introduce more international flights from Bhubaneswar and an invite to visit Odisha along with CEOs of major airlines to study its viability.

“Taking note of the letter of Hon’ble CM, @Naveen_Odisha ji, HMCA @HardeepSPuri has directed Ministry officials to convene a meeting of CEOs of major airlines at Bhubaneswar at the earliest to discuss and harness opportunities offered by the State” a Ministry tweet said this evening.
