Bhubaneswar: The first statewide parent-teacher meeting (PTM) of this year will be conducted in all government and government-aided higher secondary schools on January 28.
According to sources, the PTM will aim at strengthening academic monitoring through parental participation.
The School and Mass Education Department issued a notification on Saturday stating that apart from the physical meeting, a link will be provided to connect parents in a virtual mode wherever necessary.
Notably, the Commissioner of the department Aswathy S said that parents will be informed about the attendance and participation of their children in different activities.
They will be made aware of the academic programmes taken up by the schools to improve the performance of students.
