Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s former India footballer Gayatri Mallik has been appointed Assistant Coach of the senior national women’s team.
Gayatri will work under head coach Crispin Chhetri.
Gayatri will take up her duties starting from the national team’s training camp that will get underway in Kolkata on January 10.
Odisha’s DSYS congratulated Gayatri for the appointment.
Gayatri was a member of Odisha’s gold-winning team in the 2011 National Games at Jamshedpur. As assistant coach, she helped Odisha FC Women qualify for the main draw of AFC Women’s Champions League and clinch the Indian Women’s League in 2023-24.
