Berhampur: The Additional District Magistrate (ADM) of Odisha’s Gajapati, Rajendra Minz, sustained serious injuries as his car met with an accident in Andhra Pradesh on Saturday.
According to sources, Minz, a senior OAS officer, had gone to neighbouring state in his car to meet his relatives. While he was returning to Paralakhenundi, a truck coming in high speed hit his car from behind at Sompeta in Andhra Pradesh.
Minz sustained injuries on his head and face in the accident. The local police rushed him to a hospital in Sompeta. Later, he was shifted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur.
On the impact of the accident, Minz’s car has been severely damaged though the ADM narrowly escaped with injuries, the sources said.
