Odisha’s GST Collections Rise 13.64% On-Year In Feb 2024 With Highest-Ever Rs 5135.81 Cr

Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s on-year gross GST (CGST+ IGST+ OGST + Cess) increased by 13.64% with highest-ever collection of Rs 5135.81 crore in February 2024 against Rs 4519.35 crore during the corresponding period last year, officials said on Friday.

The progressive gross GST collection during 2023-24 (till February 24) stood at Rs 49638.64 crore, registering a growth of 11.07% over corresponding period of 2022-23.

Odisha recorded a “phenomenal” growth rate of of 37.12% in state GST revenue, with a collection of Rs 2295.41 crore during February 2024 against 1673.96 crore recorded during February 2023.

The progressive collection of state GST (OGST + IGST settlement) up to the month of February 2024 is Rs 21846.55 crore against collection of Rs 16710.34 crore up to February 2023, registering a growth rate of 30.74%.

Similarly, the collection under all Acts monitored by the Commissionerate of CT & GST, Odisha, including OGST/IGST Settlement/VAT and Profession Tax during February 2024 stood Rs 3470.75 crore against Rs 2765.44 crore during February 2023 , registering a growth rate of 25.50%.

The progressive collection under all Acts up to February 24 is Rs 32807.67 crore with a growth rate of 20.84% over corresponding collection up to February 23.

The state generated 23.77 lakh of waybills in February 2024 compared to 19.86 lakh waybills during the corresponding period of 2023, they added.
