Bhubaneswar: Noted Hindi litterateur and professor of Hindi department of Aska Science College Dr Seikh Sayeed passed away on Wednesday. He was 59.
Dr Sayeed was undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Bhubaneswar after testing positive for COVID-19. He is survived by his wife Sanwar Sultana and son Khursid Alam.
His close friend Dr Usman Khan said the contribution of Dr Sayeed to Hindi is unparallel and his demise has left a void in the literary world. He was the son-in-law of well-known mathematician and Urdu litterateur Prof Karamat Ali.
