Bhubaneswar: People in the state capital were making a beeline for Dr. Abhin Chandra Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital on Monday because doctors here claim to have innovated a preventive cure for the deadly Coronavirus.
Acoording to reports, a preventive medicine, Arsenicum Album 30 is being distributed at the special OPD set up by the hospital although there is no official confirmation to establish their claim.
A resident of Bhubaneswar standing in the queue for his turn said, “News about Coronavirus really scared me. Since there is no allopathic medicine, I came here for a homoeopathic medicine.”
Reports quoting hospital authorities said that the medicine has no side effects and is being given on the basis of symptoms as a preventive and curative medicine. “Central Council For Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH), our highest appellate body has also prescribed us the medicine. We hope people will greatly benefit from this,” said a doctor.
So far, out of 14 suspected cases in Odisha, 13 people had returned from China and one from Thailand. Two persons are in SCB and 12 others are under house surveillance.
The medical student from Kandhamal who was suspected to have contracted the virus has been tested negative. So far six out of seven samples sent for lab testing to Pune-based National Institute of Virology have no traces of Coronavirus.
