Bhubaneswar: In a landmark graduating year, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sambalpur has achieved 100 per cent placements. The institute held its convocation for the sixth (2020-22 batch) and seventh (2021-23 batch) recently.
“This year, IIM Sambalpur has achieved a remarkable 100 percent placements, with the highest package INR 64.61 lakh per annum (domestic) and INR 64.15 lakh per annum (international). This extraordinary achievement shows an astonishing growth of 146.7% over the previous year. In addition, there has been a promising growth of 26% in average salary and 29% in average salary, which reinforces the institute’s commitment to provide rich career opportunities for its graduates,” Mahadeo Jaiswal, Director, IIM Sambalpur, stated.
Yashi Sharma of the 2020-22 batch and Astha Garg of the 2021-23 batch were conferred with the Chairman’s Gold Medal for Scholastic performance for securing first rank based on the highest CGPA. Ambuj Priyadarshi from sixth and Gomathi SR from seventh were awarded with Director’s Gold Medal for Scholastic performance, for securing second rank based on second highest CGPA.
The IIM Sambalpur Gold Medal for best all-round performance based on scholastic performance, and extracurricular and institutional building activities was awarded to Shreem Kohli from the 2020-22 batch and to Preeti Joshi from the 2021-23 batch.
