Berhampur: Odisha’s first grass art park was inaugurated at Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Berhampur on the occasion of World Youth Skills Day.
Chairman, Odisha Skill Development Authority Subroto Bagchi inaugurated the park where beautiful sculptures drapped in artificial grass are on display.
Bagchi hailed the efforts of ITI Berhampur and said the grass art park was an innovative concept that could attract maximum interior and exterior decorative industries.
Director of Technical Education and Training in Odisha, Reghu G, said ITI Berhampur is working on the present year theme of World Youth Skills Day “Re-imaging youth skill post pandemic”.
Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange said the institute is an “educational wonderland” that changes people’s mindset towards vocational education.
Keerthi Vasan, Sub-Collector, Berhampur, praised innovations by ITI students and staff like erosol Box and Oxygen Cylinder lifter which have drawn attention of PMO.
Among others, Commissioner of Berhampur Municipal Corporation Siddeshwar Baliram Bondar was present among a host of other dignitaries.
