Jharsuguda: The district administration and Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited, have signed a MoU on Friday to open a COVID Care Centre in the district.
As per the MoU, the centre will be opened at Bandhabahal in Lakhanpur Block. The MoU was signed by Keshav Rao, Director (Personnel), MCL and Saroj Kumar Samal, Collector, Jharsuguda at the DMF Conference Hall of the Collectorate.
The COVID care centre will be equipped with 70 beds, doctors, nurses, medicines and food.
Notably, MCL is funding a 525-bed COVID Hospital in Bhubaneswar while another 150-bed COVID Hospital is functional at Mahanadi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Talcher, in Angul district of the state.
