Odisha’s Jhili Dalabehera Clinches Bronze At IWLF National Weightlifting

Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s Jhili Dalabehera lifted bronze in the 49 KG Senior category at the IWLF Junior & Senior National Weightlifting, 2021-2022, here on Tuesday.

The gold and silver went to Jhinnarani Devi and Sanjita Chanu respectively in the category.

The event is being held at Biju Patnaik Indoor Stadium at KIIT Deemed to be University here. Speaking on the occasion, Competition Director of IWLF Nationals 2022, Pal Singh Sandhu Odisha Government’s role in promoting various sports.

The National Weightlifting Championships for all categories began on March 19 in which 900 athletes, support staff and technical officials from 30 states and Union Territories are participating. The championships will conclude on March 31.
