Bhubaneswar: Almost the entire state except four districts received rainfall in the last 24 hours.
According to the regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD), here, the rainfall, triggered by western disturbance, continued in most parts of the state in the last 24 hours. Except Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Puri and Malkangiri received the rainfall during the period.
Highest 154 rainfall was registered at Kalinga in Kandhamal district, followed by 72.4 mm at G Udaygiri in the same district, 70.4 at Salebhata in Balangir, 65 at Jharigaon in Nabarangpur, 57 at Tikabali in Kandhamal, 56.6 at Komna in Nuapada and 55.6 mm at Raikia in Kandhamal district, the Met office stated.
Bhubaneswar and Cuttack cities received 6.6 mm and 2 mm rainfall during the period.
Meanwhile, the IMD has forecast that rainfall accompanied by hailstone is likely in 11 districts till January 14.
