Phulbani: The south Odisha district of Kandhamal reported its first COVID-19 death when an 86-year-old man succumbed to the virus on Wednesday.
According to the Health Department sources, the deceased was also suffering from diabetes and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Meanwhile, the COVID-19 tally in the district has touched 268 with an overnight addition of 13 cases.
With one death and 199 recoveries, the district now has 68 active cases.
