Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the Asia Rugby Sevens Series in Uzbekistan from September 18, the national women’s under-18 team have started practising at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) stadium in the city.
Earlier on August 28, Rugby India had announced that it has partnered with the Odisha government as an associate sponsor.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik extended his best wishes to the girls in the U-18 squad that will play in Uzbekistan.
The Indian national team, sponsored by Societe Generale (a French multinational investment bank and financial services company), has officially partnered with the Odisha government and the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), as associate sponsors, to support Rugby India’s high-performance program for the next three years.
