Odisha’s Koraput Reports 34 New COVID-19 Cases, Majority Local Contacts

Jeypore: The COVID-19 tally in Koraput district rose to 485 on Monday with 34 fresh cases reported in the last 24 hours.

The district administration tweeted that of new cases, 24 are direct contacts of previous positive cases. These included 7 from containment zones.

The rest included nine positive cases reported from home quarantine and one from a temporary medical centre (TMC).

According to the district administration, the maximum number of 16 new cases were reported from Jeypore municipality followed by Koraput municipality (9), Sunabeda municipality (4), Baipariguda block (2), Laxmipur block (1), Dasmanthapur block (1) and Kundra block (1). At present, the patient from Kundra block is undergoing treatment at Care Hospitals in Bhubaneswar.

With 167 recoveries recorded so far, Koraput district has 318 active cases.
