Jeypore: The COVID-19 tally in Odisha’s Koraput district touched 1580 on Friday with a record 90 positive cases in the last 24 hours.
According to the district administration, 51 among them are the direct contacts of previous positive cases. 37 are local contact cases while two have travel history to Puri and Malkangiri.
The highest of 26 cases have been reported from Jeypore municipality, 25 from Narayanpatna block, eight each from Laxmipur and Kotpad, five each from Jeypore and Bandhugaon, three from Semiliguda, two each from Koraput block and Municipality and one from Pottangi.
Five more COVID warriors have been infected in the district.
