Koraput: A woman, who was placed in a COVID-19 quarantine centre under Jeypore block here after her return from Andhra Pradesh, gave birth to a baby boy late on Wednesday night.
Sources said the doctor on duty helped in the normal and smooth delivery of the baby. The mother and baby were later shifted to Jeypore district headquarters hospital.
The condition of both the mother and child was said to be good.
The woman and her husband have been residing in the institutional quarantine centre set up at a government school at Kathargada under Borigumma block in the district.
