Bhubaneswar: East Zone emerged champions in the Senior Women’s Inter-Zonal T20 Trophy at Lucknow.
Odisha players Madhuri Mehta and Sushree Dibyadarshini were part of the winning East Zone team. Odisha senior women’s team physio Juri Datta was physio of the East Zone women too.
The final, featuring East Zone and West Zone, was abandoned without a ball bowled. East women were declared champions, having beaten West by 5 wickets in the league stage.
East emerged toppers in the league stage after overcoming North-East, South and North Zone, while their game against Central was abandoned.
