New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: Odia girls continue to make it big in beauty pageants. Maitri Monali Pradhan made the state proud by winning the Rubaru Miss India Elite 2019 crown in New Delhi, recently. Also, Apurvi Saini and Saniya Juneja clinched the ‘Face of Beauty India 2019’ and ‘Miss Globe India 2019’, respectively, at an event organised by a Delhi-based fashion label on Sunday.
A Class XII student of DAV Public School, Unit-VIII in Bhubaneswar, Maitri is not new to the world of beauty. This native from Astaranga in Puri district had bagged two major titles at the Miss Teen International 2018 beauty pageant held at Bangkok in Thailand.
Besides making it to the top 5, Maitri also won the ‘Best National Costume’ and ‘Best Talent’ titles at the contest.
She first entered the limelight in 2016, by winning the KIIT Nanhipari – Little Miss India at the KIIT International School in Bhubaneswar.
