Malkangiri: The COVID-19 tally in Malkangiri district rose to 274 on Saturday with an overnight addition of eight new positive cases.
Of the new cases, four were reported from Balimela NAC. Three of them were in direct close contact with previous positive cases and one symptomatic case was found during door-to-door screening.
The remaining four cases were reported from Malkangiri municipal area. They were in close contact with previous positive cases.
Of the 274 COVID-19 cases in the district so far, 143 are active cases and 131 patients have recovered.
