Odisha’s Nandankanan Zoo Records Over 1 Lakh Visitors After COVID-19 Reopening

Bhubaneswar: The number of visitors to Nandankanan Zoological Park here has increased with the onset of winter.

According to zoo officials, the number of visitors has crossed one lakh in the past three months.

After a seven-month gap, the zoo was reopened on October 4. Since then, as many as 1,00,106 visitors have come to the zoo.

Ahead of its 61st foundation day on December 29, the Nandankanan zoo will exchange animals with another zoo in the country.

The zoo authorities are also planning to restart boating and safari at the zoo as well as operate battery vehicles for visitors and swings for children.

Meanwhile, a country bear has given birth to a cub at the zoo recently. After the birth of this cub, the number of bears have increased to 16.
