Bhubaneswar: Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan (OAVS) created a new benchmark in CBSE Class X Board Examinations 2020 with one of its students securing 98.8 per cent marks.
Out of 5430 students who appeared at the CBSE Class X Board examination in 100 OAVs across the state, 4427 students passed the examination, taking the pass percentage to 82.09.
Sanskriti Khamari of Patharchepa OAV, Balangir scored the top rank with 98.8 per cent marks. She is followed by Bhuban Meher from Junagarh OAV, Kalahandi with 98.6 per cent and Sangita Sanghamitra Nayak of Salapada OAV, Anandpur, Keonjhar with 97.8 per cent.
While seven OAVs achieved 100 per cent result, 295 students secured more than 90 per cent and 2262 students scored above 60 per cent.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik congratulated the students, faculty and members of OAVS for the outstanding success.
