Panchkula: Odisha weightlifter Punit Chandra Sahu bagged a silver medal in the men’s 96 kg category at the Khelo India Youth Games (KIYG) 2022 being held in Haryana.
Punit finished second with a lift of 278 kg.
It was the third medal of KIYG 2022 for Odisha, who earlier won a gold and bronze.
Maharashtra are currently leading the tally with 24 gold, 24 silver and 19 bronze medals. Hosts Haryana are in second place (23G, 21S, 29B), followed by Manipur (12G, 3S, 2B).
