Bhubaneswar: The State Disaster Response Fund has sanctioned Rs. 225 crore for the containment of COVID-19 in Odisha.
The money was sanctioned on Monday in a special meeting of the State Executive Committee chaired by the chief secretary. The amount was sanctioned in favour of the Health & Family Welfare Department.
The money will be used for quarantine, sample collection, screening, which includes provision for temporary accommodation, food, medical care, etc. for the people sheltered in quarantine camps, cluster containment operations, setting up of additional testing labs and procurement of essential equipment, personal protective gears, etc.
