Sambalpur: As Sambalpur district entered the second phase of shutdown on Sunday, the district administration has announced relaxation of certain COVID-19 norms.
Grocery stores and vegetable shops will remain open from 6 am to 1 pm. Moreover, it is mandatory for all customers to wear masks besides maintaining social distance.
Moreover, shops and business establishments, except those selling essential items, will remain closed during the shutdown.
Strict action will be taken for breaching of COVID norms. Four senior officials have been deployed in the locality for monitoring.
Notably, the district administration had earlier declared a 10-day shutdown from July 22-31. The first phase i.e. July 22 to 25 has been completed while the second phase has commenced on July 26 and will continue till the month-end.
