Bhubaneswar: Odisha Cricket Association’s member Satbir Singh Riar has been appointed as the manager of the Indian Cricket Team for Test series with South Africa.
This information was given by OCA secretary Sanjay Behera. Riar, who hails from Malkangiri district, will serve as the manager of the team in the first Test in Centurion and second Test in Cape Town.
OCA president Pranab Prakash Das, secretary Sanjay Behera and other office bearers of the association have congratulated Riar for this outstanding achievement.
Expressing happiness over the new task assigned to him, Riar said he is thankful to the OCA for the opportunity.
He had earlier served as the manager of Odisha U-16, U-19 and Ranji teams and now he has got the opportunity to work for Team India.
Riar said he wants cricket players from Odisha to represent the country at international level.
