Odisha’s Single Window Authority Approves 8 Industrial Projects Worth Rs 1,250 Crore

Bhubaneswar: The State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) has approved 8 industrial projects worth around Rs 1,250 crore in different districts of Odisha.

The projects were approved at 120th meeting of the SLSWCA, presided by Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday. The projects are expected to create employment opportunities for 3,640 people.

The Authority approved the following projects of different companies:

  • BK International Private Limited to establish a manufacturing unit for socks with an investment of Rs 52 crore in Khurda.
  • Mamta Fabrics Pvt Ltd to set up readymade garments manufacturing unit with Rs 50 crore in Khurda.
  • A leading manufacturer of metal downstream products will set up a manufacturing unit for producing 1,80,000 steel doors and windows along with other products with Rs 147.64 crore at Kalinga Nagar in Jajpur.
  • Nezone Tubes Utkal Limited to expand its existing facility with a manufacturing unit for 1,60,000 MT MS square and rectangular pipes and tubes with Rs 105 at Kalinga Nagar in Jajpur.
  • Vedanta Limited to set up 4.5 MTPA iron ore beneficiation plant with an estimated cost of Rs 80 crore at Koida in Sundargarh.
  • 3 grain-based ethanol plants to be set up with an investment of Rs 814,54 crore in Balangir, Sonepur and Nabarangpur districts.
