As incumbent Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain has gone on leave on health grounds, 1992 batch IAS officer Subrat has been appointed in his place.
Subrat Sahu is in charge of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s Office as Additional Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary of Departments like Home, Jail Administration, Power, Electronics, IT, Commerce and Industry.
Son of former Odisha Chief Secretary Sahadeb Sahu, Subrat has been widely acclaimed for his administrative skills in handling several key and sensitive government departments.
He was awarded the President’s Medal by Ram Nath Kovind for his able electoral management and transparent administration during his tenure as Chief Election Officer of Chhattisgarh.
