Odisha’s Utkal University Alumnus Named New MD Of LIC

Bhubaneswar: Bishnu Charan Patnaik will take over as the Managing Director of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LICI).

A native of Bhaliakhai near Bhanjanagar in Ganjam district, Patnaik did his schooling from Laxmidhar Municipal High School in Dhenkanal. He did his graduation from BJB College in Bhubaneswar and completed a post-graduation in Political Science from Utkal University.

Patnaik joined LICI as a direct recruit Class-1 officer in the Corporation’s Bhadrak Branch in 1986. He has also served as the Senior Branch Manager at LICI’s Raj Bhavan Branch in Bhubaneswar and Senior Divisional Manager of Berhampur division.
