Bhubaneswar: Promising woman weightlifter of Odisha, Jhili Dalabehera, was conferred with the prestigious Ekalabya Puraskar at a function here on Friday.
Jhili received the award from wrestling champion Babita Phogat. The award, instituted by the Indian Metals Public Charitable Trust (IMPaCT), carries a cash award of Rs 5 lakh, a trophy and a citation.
Apart from Jhili, sportswomen, hockey player Namita Toppo and footballer Jabamani Tudu were also felicitated with a cash award of Rs 50,000 and a citation each.
