Rayagada: Vigilance sleuths arrested an employee in the BDO office at Kashipur in the district on charges of accepting bribe.
Bilasa Naik of Dangasil village had complained to the Vigilance officials that Revenue Assistant Prakash Chandra Sahu working in the BDO office had demanded Rs 4,000 as bribe to issue work order for construction of a passenger rest shed at Dangasil village under MLALAD fund.
Following the complaint, the Vigilance officials of Koraput Division led by Vigilance DSP Ananta Prasad Mallick conducted a raid and caught Sahu accepting the bribe red-handed.
The Vigilance officials seized the money and initiated an investigation in this connection.
