Ola Electric Scooters Log Rs 1,100 Crore Sales In Just Two Days

New Delhi: Ola Electric, the EV arm of the ride-hailing app, has achieved Rs 1,100 crore in combined sales of its newly-launched electric scooter within two days, the company said on Friday.

The company began online sales for its electric scooter, which is offered in two variants — S1 and S1 Pro — on September 15 and kept the purchase window open for 48 hours till September 16.

Customers who had already reserved the Ola scooter, when the company opened online reservations in July 2021, were given priority.

In a statement released on Friday, Ola Group CEO Bhavish Aggarwal said, “In total over 2 days, we have done over Rs 1100 crore in sales! This is unprecedented not just in the automotive industry, but it is one of the highest sales in a day (by value) for a single product in Indian e-commerce history! We truly are living in a digital India.”
