Cuttack: Ollywood actor Babushaan has approached Orissa High Court for anticipatory bail in connection with the case filed by his wife Trupti Satpathy at a police station in Bhubaneswar.
Trupti had filed a case at Kharvel Nagar police station making allegations against actress Prakruti and her husband Babushaan. The police have registered a case under Sections 498 (A) and 506 of IPC.
Apprehending his arrest on the basis of his wife’s complaint, Babushaan’s lawyer filed the anticipatory bail in the High Court on Wednesday.
In a video that had gone viral on Saturday, Trupti was found assaulting her husband and Prakruti in full public glare in Bhubaneswar and accusing Prakruti of creating disturbances in her marital life.
Following this, Prakruti’s mother Krushnapriya Mishra lodged a case at Kharvel Nagar police station and then Trupti, along with her mother-in-law and actress Aparajita Mohanty filed an FIR.
The police recorded the statements of seven persons on the basis of the two complaints on Sunday. They have also sent notice to Babushaan to appear for questioning.
Babushaan, who had flown to Chennai for promotion of his film, returned to Bhubaneswar on Wednesday.
