Bhubaneswar: Ollywod actress Bhoomika Dash, who came out with flying colours in the CBSE Class X examination results of which were announced on Tuesday, said there is no substitute to hard work.

“Sheer hard work and grim determination are the keys to my success, said the elated actress who secured 97% marks in the examination.

Bhoomika is playing the role of Parvati aka Paro in upcoming flick ‘Nayakara Naa Devdas’. Based on the popular tragic love story of Sarat Chandra Chatterjee’s Devdas, the film casts Asit and Anu Choudhury.

With her first film being a hit, ‘Tu Mo Love Story’, Bhoomika always strikes a balance between her studies and acting. “I studied 10 to 12 hours a day and never compromised on any subject. I also refused few good offers because of my studies,” she added.

Bhoomika got the opportunity to cast opposite Babushan in ‘Hero No 1’ which was another blockbuster. “After the release of ‘Hero No 1’, I took a break for the Board examination till March.  I have always enjoyed acting but I do not want to make this my career. The audience has always loved me and that has inspired me to do good work”, she said.

Despite being a part of glamour world at such a young age, Bhoomika could keep herself away from other distractions, unlike her fellow teenagers. “I am thankful to my parents and teachers who supported me”, she pointed out.
